Worship EP Recording Session

Some exciting things are in the works for me personally and professionally. I have been in a season of growth (growing pains included) and I can sense that God is leading me into an exciting new chapter.

One of the "exciting things" happening is a new music project. Last week I drove a couple hours north of Atlanta to Lookout Mountain, GA and began recording a few new worship songs I have written. I met with producer/engineer Chuck Harris at a little church outside of Chattanooga to record my first-ever worship EP.

We tracked piano and cello in that peaceful sanctuary and then tracked vocals at Chuck's home studio.

I have always loved studio time, seeing my raw songwriting ideas come to life and grow into full productions. Just as before, this studio session was inspiring and challenging, yet there was a beautiful peace throughout.

There is something peaceful about playing a baby grand in an empty sanctuary. A church building can be an exciting, chaotic, lively and energetic place on Sunday morning, which is awesome. Yet, a quiet chapel on a weekday is a perfect opportunity to hear the still whisper of God.

During my recording session God was undoubtedly there with us as we labored to create an offering worthy of the King of Kings.

The songs on this project are simply an outpouring from my personal worship and prayer time I have had over this past year. I am humbled and incredibly thankful for this opportunity to record these new songs. I am not sure where God is leading me, but these songs are first and foremost a gift for Him.

I am looking forward to sharing more about this endeavor and for the date, TBA, when these songs will be released.

Pray for me as I finish this project. That, through it all, the name of Jesus would be glorified. That this would be a beautiful gift fit for a king. That these songs would draw me and others closer to the heart of God.
